 How it works:

  1. Send a note here . We will set a time to talk about your desired piece. If you are local to the SF Bay Area, a brief photo session is included. Travel costs apply outside the Bay Area. I’m also happy to help you choose from photos you may have or work with a photographer to get the right photographic reference.

  2. A deposit of 50% is due upon commissioning, with the remaining 50% to be paid upon completion. If you see your desired size listed one this page, you may make your deposit here. For other sizes, multiple sitters, or any other questions, contact me here

  3. I will create a composition for your approval.

  4. Once the concept visualization is approved, I will start the actual drawing. You will receive progress photos along the way.

  5. Once completed, your piece will be sealed with multiple coats of archival gallery UV protectant sealer, and framing is optional at this point.

  6. The remaining 50% is due upon completion, plus any shipping or framing that may have been chosen.

  7. Shipping will depend on where you live and the size of the portrait. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, we can arrange for a free local pickup.

Each piece takes about 4-6 weeks to complete. Delivery time depends on how many other commissions are booked ahead of you. I try to take my time with each piece until I feel I've captured the essence of the subject. That being said, if you need your piece sooner, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to creating a beautiful heirloom painting that your family will cherish for a lifetime.
