Frida Kahlo needed to have her shoes custom made for her due to a deformity in her leg caused by childhood polio. I was moved to paint these shoes in honor of her strength and perseverance, while also celebrating her love for beauty and fashion.

• This is a Giclee reproduction of an original acrylic painting titled “Frida’s Shoes”, a painting of Frida Kahlo’s shoes (18x24 inches, acrylic on wood panel, 2019).
